Miles Witt Boyer

Miles Witt Boyer has spent more than 20 years making photographs and still isn't convinced he's figured any of it out. He's photographed more than 500 weddings around the world, spent eight years as a Fujifilm global ambassador, had work published in more than 50 magazines and a handful of books, and built a career that has taken him from fashion and sports photography to weddings, education, podcasting, and stages around the country. But the rsum is probably the least interesting part. Miles is a husband, dad to two boys, runner, and photographer based in Bentonville, Arkansas. He's the founder of Miles Witt Boyer Photography and co-founder of The Photographic Collective, an education community built around the belief that nobody has this completely figured out, so we might as well get better together. His work lives somewhere between documentary and editorial, but he's increasingly less interested in what a photograph looks like and more interested in why it matters. As technology makes it easier than ever to create something beautiful, Miles believes the photographer matters more, not less. Not because we know how to use a camera. Because we were there.

AI can cull, edit, retouch, write, design, and now create photographs of moments that never happened at all. So where does that leave the photographer? After more than twenty years and 500 weddings behind a camera, Miles Witt Boyer believes the answer isn't found in fighting technology. It's found in understanding what technology can never replace: presence, taste, trust, empathy, access, timing, restraint, story, and the ability to recognize that something matters before anyone else in the room realizes it does. Proof of Human is a provocative and deeply personal look at what happens to photography when technical perfection becomes abundant and humanity becomes scarce. Through photographs, stories, failures, and lessons from a career spent documenting real people, Miles explores why the next generation of great photographers won't separate themselves simply by making better images. They'll separate themselves by making images that could only exist because they were there. This isn't a talk about fearing AI or protecting the way things have always been done. It's an invitation to embrace technology while doubling down on everything that makes this work profoundly human. Because the future doesn't need more perfect photographs. It needs proof that we were here.Show MoreClick the title to see all detailsShow More

A live exercise in observation, connection, and making photographs that feel alive. What happens when you walk into a portrait session without a list of poses to fall back on? Join Miles Witt Boyer for a live, unscripted photo walk built around one simple idea: great photographs aren't always created by adding more direction. Sometimes they're created by learning when to get out of the way. Miles will photograph a real couple while breaking down exactly what he's seeing and thinking in real time, light, composition, movement, body language, connection, anticipation, and the tiny decisions that can turn an ordinary situation into something that actually feels like the people standing in front of the camera. This isn't a posing class, and it definitely isn't about memorizing prompts. It's about learning to see. You'll watch things work. You'll watch things fail. You'll see Miles adjust when an idea doesn't land and learn how he creates enough structure for something real to happen without controlling every second of it. Come ready to shoot, experiment, and probably get a little uncomfortable. Because the goal isn't to leave with more poses. It's to leave seeing more.
