You do not need a large strobe to create portraits with big impact. In this hands-on photo walk, led by Francisco Joel Hernandez, attendees will use compact speedlights to create polished, powerful portraits while keeping the lighting setup simple and portable. Attendees will photograph a model through multiple setups and see how light placement, modifiers, and exposure can make a small flash feel like a much bigger light source. What you will learn: how to create impactful portraits using speedlights off camera, how light position and distance affect the final image, how to choose modifiers that work well with smaller flashes, how to balance speedlights with available light, and how to get the most from limited flash power. Recommended gear: camera, SD card, portrait lens (prime lens recommended), and a Godox/Flashpoint trigger compatible with your camera. Speedlight will be provided.
