Cate Scaglione
Cate Scaglione has spent 15 years proving one idea: with the right direction, any woman can look like the most striking version of herself.
Before she ever picked up a camera, she was a phenom in the advertising world, building brands and launching some of the most iconic luxury products you know today. Through a career built on understanding desire, storytelling, and the psychology of how people want to feel, she brought all of it to women's intimate portraiture. Her work blends fashion, fine art, client psychology, and somatic technique into a method that puts even the most nervous woman at ease. Then she quietly hands them the power.
A longtime fixture in the boudoir industry, Cate was named 2022 Boudoir Photographer of the Year by the AIBP and has been a mainstay on various "Best of Boudoir" lists for over a decade. Her client and commercial work has drawn attention from print and TV media, with features in The New York Times, USA Today, Professional Photographer, Bravo, VH1, and the WB to name a few.
What clients rave most about is her direction. Precise, warm, disarmingly funny, she can pose anyone — brides, women over 40, plus-size clients others don't know how to serve — and make a vulnerable experience feel safe, playful, and genuinely fun. Inclusivity isn't a talking point for her; it's the premise. Everyone can look their best with someone who knows how to lead them there.
That perspective, on femininity, intimacy, and what authenticity actually looks like through a lens, has made her a sought-after podcast guest and an educator. She's taught seminars across the US, Europe, and Central and South America on brand development, elevating the client experience, and female entrepreneurship.
Her studio is in Monmouth County, NJ, where she also lives with her family.
