Bella Kotak is an internationally acclaimed fine art, fashion, and portrait photographer known for her dreamlike imagery, rich color, and imaginative storytelling. Her work transforms portraiture into elaborate visual worlds inspired by nature, beauty, and fantasy.
Alongside her photographic practice, Bella is a passionate educator and speaker who shares her creative process with photographers around the world through workshops, conferences, online education, and creative retreats. Her teaching explores everything from developing a distinctive visual style and directing subjects to color, post-production, and building a sustainable creative career.
Bella has collaborated with leading brands across the photography and creative industries, including Adobe and Profoto, and has been recognized internationally for her distinctive approach to fine art portraiture. Her work has been exhibited and published worldwide, and she was named Boris FX Featured Artist of the Year in 2026.

You'll learn how to find beautiful light and potential in everyday locations, how to compose a scene for a more imaginative, fine art feel, how to pose and direct your subject with confidence, how to use foreground, depth, and perspective creatively, and how to develop your own visual approach rather than simply recreating what you see. Recommended gear: a camera with a portrait lens. Bella recommends a 35mm, 50mm, or 85mm lens. No additional lighting equipment is required.
