WPPI (Wedding and Portrait Photographers International) is a vibrant and supportive community dedicated to photographers

Founded in 1952 as a newsletter for photographers called Rangefinder, WPPI has continually evolved with the industry, often leading the way as a beacon for photographers. Rangefinder soon matured into a magazine, and in the 1970s it spawned “WPI” as a membership-driven organization for part-time and full-time photographers. The launch of our first conference in 1981 marked the beginning of a thriving community. Today, our WPPI Conference is celebrated as one of the premier photography tradeshows and conferences in the country, and regularly attended by photographers from all over the world! Photographers return to WPPI year after year to maintain and create friendships with people who share the same passion for the art and business of photography.

Today, we offer a variety of ways to stay informed and continue learning, including our annual conference, an on-demand platform offering education and classes 365 days a year, and a membership with benefits such as community support, industry perks, and essential tools.
